Siluxe uses long-strand Grade 6A mulberry silk in a calibrated 22-momme weight. It’s woven for a glide-soft hand that reduces friction vs. cotton and many synthetic satins. Select products use a silver-ion antibacterial finish to help the surface stay fresher between washes.

Momme measures fabric weight. Our 22-momme balance delivers drape, durability and breathability without bulk—ideal for nightly use.

Silk’s low-friction surface glides against hair to reduce tug and overnight frizz. Pair with a silk scrunchie/bonnet for protective styling.

Silk is smooth and less absorbent than cotton, so skincare is less likely to wick away. Our antibacterial finish (where noted) helps the surface stay fresher between washes. Always follow your dermatologist’s advice.

Silk is naturally breathable and temperature-adaptive. If you run warm, choose lighter shades and rotate pillowcases more often in hot weeks.

Machine wash cold in a delicates bag with pH-neutral detergent, gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry out of sun. Iron low (silk) inside-out if needed. Avoid fabric softeners.

Every 3–4 nights (more often if using actives or hair products). Many customers keep 2–3 to rotate for consistently fresh fabric.

“Satin” is a weave that can be polyester/nylon/silk. Siluxe uses mulberry silk—a natural protein fiber—with breathability and a smoother hand.
