What makes Siluxe different from regular silk or satin?
Siluxe uses long-strand Grade 6A mulberry silk in a calibrated 22-momme weight. It’s woven for a fluid, soft hand, so hair glides instead of rubbing. Select products use a silver-ion infused finish, lab-tested to inhibit bacteria growth on the fabric and help the surface stay fresher between washes.
Is 22-momme better?
Momme measures fabric weight. Our 22-momme balance delivers drape, density and breathability without bulk—ideal for nightly use.
Will silk help my hair overnight?
Hair glides over silk instead of rubbing, so blowouts last and mornings start with fewer tangles. It is not a treatment. Pair it with a silk scrunchie or bonnet for protective styling.
Is silk soft against the face, and what does the finish do?
Yes, mulberry silk has a smooth, soft feel against the face, night after night. Our silver-ion finish, where noted, is lab-tested to inhibit bacteria growth on the fabric and help the surface stay fresher between washes.
I sleep warm: is silk right for me?
Silk is temperature-regulating: it breathes, for comfortable nights. Its smooth, fluid surface rests lightly under your cheek, night after night.
How do I wash and care for Siluxe?
Hand wash, or machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle in a mesh bag, with a pH-neutral silk detergent; no bleach, no fabric softener. Dry flat, away from direct sun; no tumble dryer. If needed, iron on low heat (silk setting), on the reverse.
How often should I wash my pillowcase?
Every 3–4 nights, or more often if you use actives or hair products. Many keep two or three to alternate, for fresh silk every night.
Satin vs. silk—what’s the difference?
“Satin” is a weave that can be polyester, nylon or silk. Siluxe uses mulberry silk, a natural protein fibre that breathes, with a smooth, fluid hand.
What certifications apply?
Every active Siluxe product is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified (certificate 26.HCN.36686, valid through 31 March 2027), confirming the silk is tested for harmful substances. Silver-ion antibacterial performance is exclusive to the Siluxe Antibacterial Silk Pillowcase; OEKO-TEX certification is a textile-safety standard, not an antibacterial or medical property.
