Which Siluxe Bonnet Is Right for You: Comfort, Glow or Cover?
Share
Choose Comfort for a simple, single-layer everyday bonnet; Glow for a structured, double-layer turban silhouette and luminous colour; or Cover for the greatest capacity and an elongated black shape. All three have a 54–72 cm opening, but their depth, architecture and way of carrying hair volume are distinctly different.
The short answer
Volume decides first, comfort preference second, fashion silhouette third and colour fourth. Comfort suits short-to-medium everyday hair in a classic rose-gold shape. Glow is the polished choice for blowouts, brushed hair and styled curls, in rose gold or gold. Cover is the high-capacity choice for long, thick, curly, braided or protective styles, in black.
This is not one bonnet offered at three prices. Siluxe has created three different architectures around the same 22-momme mulberry-silk standard: a round single-layer bonnet, a structured double-layer turban form and an elongated high-volume cover.

Measurements are finished-product specifications supplied by Siluxe. The 54–72 cm opening was measured flat and doubled: approximately 27 cm relaxed and 36 cm stretched when laid flat. It describes the garment opening, not a universal fit or an all-night retention guarantee.
How to read the bonnet measurements
The shared 54–72 cm opening does not make these three bonnets the same size in practice. Opening circumference describes the perimeter around the head; depth and silhouette determine where the hair goes. Comfort places the lengths inside a 25 cm round shape. Glow uses a shallower 23 cm double-layer form with a structured front. Cover adds a 56 cm drop below its 25 cm cap section, giving long hair, braids and dense volume somewhere to extend rather than coil into one compact space.
All three use non-adjustable elastic and are non-reversible. Individual comfort still depends on head shape, hair arrangement, sensory preference and sleep movement. The measurements make comparison more honest; they do not turn a textile accessory into a guaranteed fit.
Choose by volume, comfort, fashion and colour
1. Volume: how much hair needs to be contained?
For short-to-medium everyday lengths, Comfort offers a straightforward round space. For a blowout, brushed finish or styled curl set, Glow contains the shape within a more structured silhouette. For long, thick, braided or very full hair, Cover is the clear answer: its elongated drop is the strongest physical differentiator in the range.
2. Comfort: lightness, structure or distributed length?
Comfort uses a simpler single layer. Glow uses two layers and a sculpted front, giving it a more substantial, dressed appearance. Cover returns to a single layer but distributes length vertically. None is universally “most comfortable”: someone who dislikes structure may prefer Comfort, someone who enjoys a polished turban form may prefer Glow, and someone whose discomfort comes from compressing abundant hair may prefer Cover’s extra room.
3. Fashion: classic, turban-inspired or elongated?
Comfort reads as the familiar silk bonnet, softened by rose gold. Glow is intentionally visible: the twist front turns a sleep accessory into part of the evening look. Cover has a longer, cleaner line that feels closer to a dark hair wrap. The distinction is design, not decoration added to the same base product.
4. Colour: bright metallics or deep black?
Rose gold brings warmth and softness; gold is brighter and more jewellery-like; black is discreet, graphic and easy to integrate into a minimalist night wardrobe. Colour does not change silk performance, but it changes whether the bonnet feels like a private essential, a fashion accessory or a gift. Glow offers the widest bright palette, while Cover is the only dark option.
What all three bonnets are designed to do
A bonnet is a containment strategy. It gathers the hair so the lengths do not travel freely across the pillow, shoulders and back. The silk then creates a smoother contact surface inside that contained space.
That has a credible mechanical basis without requiring a miracle claim. Hair shafts are covered by overlapping cuticle cells, and repeated friction and abrasion are among the forces that can wear the surface. Independent TRI Princeton testing found lower friction between silk and hair than between cotton and hair. The American Academy of Dermatology likewise says silk or satin bonnets and pillowcases may reduce friction and preserve a hairstyle.
The operative word is may. A bonnet does not repair split ends, treat hair loss, guarantee zero frizz or preserve every style perfectly. Its commercial value is simpler: it gives long or styled hair a smoother, more organised place to spend the night.
Siluxe Comfort, Glow and Cover are made from 100% mulberry silk. The current Siluxe material standard also specifies 22 momme, Grade 6A silk and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification under certificate 26.HCN.36686. These specifications describe material quality and textile safety; they do not tell you which bonnet has the right capacity for your hair. That is where the model choice matters.
Choose Comfort for effortless everyday containment
Comfort is the most uncomplicated shape in the trio: a 25 cm-deep, single-layer bonnet with a 54–72 cm elastic opening. It is non-reversible and finished with an elastic perimeter. The round rose-gold silhouette is best matched to short-to-medium hair, straight or wavy lengths and relaxed everyday routines.
Its real advantage is not merely the €39 entry price. It is the absence of unnecessary structure: one silk layer, a familiar bonnet form and enough depth for everyday lengths without the more sculpted front of Glow or the extended drop of Cover.

Choose Glow for polished hair and a fashion silhouette
Glow is the architectural model: 23 cm deep, double-layered and shaped with a twist/turban front and elastic back. Its 54–72 cm opening is shared with the other models, but its construction is deliberately more structured. Rose gold and gold make it the brightest, most accessory-like option.
Choose Glow after a blowout, brushing, salon styling or for curls whose shape you want to contain within a polished form. Its differentiator is the marriage of hair containment and fashion—not an unsupported promise of extra shine. The double layer and sculpted front create a more dressed sensation than Comfort’s single-layer round form.
Choose Cover when length and volume need real room
Cover is not a compact cap. It combines a 25 cm cap depth with a 56 cm drop, a single silk layer and a ruched 54–72 cm elastic perimeter. This elongated construction makes it the highest-capacity Siluxe bonnet and the strongest choice for long, thick, curly or voluminous hair, braids, extensions and protective styles.
Its advantage is spatial: lengths can extend into the cover instead of being wound into a small round chamber. That can make a routine feel less compressive when hair volume—not head circumference—is the source of discomfort. Arrange dry hair loosely, distribute the lengths and avoid adding tension at the hairline.
Black gives Cover a distinctly dark, discreet identity beside the luminous rose-gold and gold models. It is the practical volume specialist, but also the most minimal and dramatic fashion choice.
Choose by tonight’s hair—not only your curl type
The same person can prefer a different architecture after a fresh blowout, while wearing braids or on an ordinary wash night.
Long curls, coils, braids or dense hair
Start with Cover. Its 56 cm drop provides verified room for length and volume. Arrange dry hair loosely and let the elongated section carry the lengths rather than tightening the perimeter.
A blowout or heatless set
Glow is the style-led first choice for a polished, salon-inspired ritual; its double layer and twist front create the most structured silhouette. If the blowout is very long or full, move to Cover for the extra drop. See the complete guide to preserving a blowout overnight.
Fine, short or easily flattened hair
Comfort is the simplest bonnet route for shorter everyday hair. If any form of containment flattens the roots or interrupts sleep, a pillowcase may remain the more elegant solution because it changes the contact surface without enclosing the hair. Use the pillowcase-or-bonnet decision guide.
Hair with leave-in product or oil on the lengths
Choose by volume first: Comfort for shorter lengths, Glow for a styled shape, Cover for abundant or extended lengths. A bonnet can keep product-treated hair more organised, but it cannot promise zero transfer. The bonnet manages the hair zone; the pillowcase remains the facial-contact surface below.
The smart bundle: two products, two jobs
Pairing a bonnet with a silk pillowcase is not about doubling the same benefit. It creates a two-zone system:
- Bonnet: contains the lengths and the products applied to them.
- Pillowcase: provides the surface beside the face and beneath any strands that escape.
For high-volume hair, that could mean Cover plus the Siluxe Antibacterial Silk Pillowcase. For a style-led ritual, it could mean Glow plus the pillowcase. Comfort creates the lower-entry pairing. The pillowcase is the only current Siluxe product in this system with the verified silver-ion antibacterial treatment; the bonnets must not be described as antibacterial.
This pairing is optional. If the bonnet alone solves the movement problem and feels comfortable, start there. If you dislike headwear, the pillowcase alone remains a complete surface strategy.

Frequently asked questions
What size are the Siluxe bonnets?
Comfort, Glow and Cover each have a 54–72 cm opening circumference. Measured flat, that is approximately 27 cm relaxed and 36 cm stretched. This is a garment measurement, not a guaranteed head-fit range.
Are all three bonnets the same capacity?
No. Their openings are shared, but their usable shapes differ. Comfort is 25 cm deep, Glow is 23 cm deep and double-layered, while Cover has a 25 cm cap plus a 56 cm elongated drop and is the highest-capacity model.
Which Siluxe bonnet is best for long or thick hair?
Cover. Its elongated 56 cm drop is designed to carry more length and volume, including braids, extensions and protective styles.
What is the strongest difference between Comfort and Glow?
Construction and silhouette. Comfort is a 25 cm single-layer round bonnet. Glow is a 23 cm double-layer model with a twist/turban front and elastic back. Comfort is simpler; Glow is more structured and fashion-led.
Which bonnet is likely to feel least structured?
Comfort has the simplest single-layer, round construction. Personal comfort still depends on head shape, sensory preference, hair volume and placement.
Which colours are available?
Comfort is rose gold, Glow is available in rose gold or gold, and Cover is black. Choose colour for style and ritual; it does not change the material performance.
Will a Siluxe bonnet stay on all night?
No bonnet can honestly guarantee retention for every wearer. All three use non-adjustable elastic; stability varies with head shape, hair arrangement, placement and sleep movement. Do not compensate for slipping with uncomfortable tension.
Can a silk bonnet prevent frizz or hair breakage?
It can support a lower-friction, more contained routine, but it cannot promise zero frizz or prevent all breakage. Styling technique, hair condition, moisture and tension also matter.
Do I need a silk pillowcase as well?
Not necessarily. Add one when you also want a silk facial-contact surface, a fallback beneath escaped strands or a separate zone below product-treated hair.
